Lead Construction Engineer at HDR

As a Senior Construction Engineer, you will be embedded in HDR’s Transportation - Construction Services team, focusing on two segmental bridges for the Don Valley Crossing in Toronto. In this role, you'll ensure compliance with construction documents, manage contractor interactions, and lead safety and quality assurance initiatives, while also providing mentorship to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-time engagement at the construction site

• Ensure work meets specifications and codes

• Collaborate with contractors and project managers

• Oversee and document construction progress

• Mentor and train junior engineering personnel

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management

• At least 10 years in construction practices

• Must hold a relevant Professional Engineer license

• Proficiency in construction management tools

• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal capabilities
