** You as a Senior Estimator - CSA will:
*** Confidently lead a team through the completion of a bid process under pressure.
* Be responsible for accurate, timely and well-organized pre-construction estimate preparation for budget and guaranteed maximum price submissions as well as design build and stipulated price estimate submissions for major projects.
* Develop scopes of work for subcontractors to provide budgeting assistance.
* Analyze sub-contractor bids for irregularities and ensure the full scope of work is included.
* Organize sub-contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re-writing binders and assisting the buy-out process.
* Monitor the success of a project, noting potential challenges and building relationships with sub-trades for future opportunities.
* Identify and propose project risk and cost mitigation strategies as well as the potential for opportunities and cost savings.
* Distribute sub-trade quotes to personnel, flagging areas of concern and coordinating with management to accommodate risk within the bid price.
* Maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing and project costs, for future reference.
* Review drawings and tender documents to understand scope of work and submission requirements.
* Effectively determine the bid strategies required on each project for the company to be successful.
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Work closely with our operations, pre-construction, and engineering teams to prepare accurate estimates
* Identify project-specific HSEQ risks and propose mitigation plans for these items in the estimate.
* Mentor and train junior Estimating staff**.
**** Is this the right role for you?
*** 8-10 years of experience in ICI estimating or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
