Health and Safety Advisor - ONxpress

Join ONxpress as a Health and Safety Advisor, ensuring worker security in heavy civil construction. This role involves hazard assessments, compliance checks, and proactive training.

As a key member of the ONxpress Civil Joint Venture, you will leverage 2-5 years of experience in health and safety to implement best practices on rail construction sites. Your expertise will protect workers and visitors while navigating regulatory frameworks and ensuring safety protocols are in place. You will play a vital role in developing, monitoring, and executing comprehensive safety plans throughout project life cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hazard assessments and implement mitigation strategies

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

• Provide safety training to workers and managers

• Investigate and report on incidents and near misses

• Perform regular safety inspections and audits

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in health and safety roles

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety

• National Construction Safety Officer certification is a bonus

• G-class driver’s license is required

• Ability to work night shifts from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM
