Programming Intern

Placement: 10 weeks, 4 days per week, 5 hours per day (200 total hours)
Scheduling:
Flexible; some Saturday required.
Location:
Tangled Art Gallery, 401 Richmond St W
Pay: $20 per hour

The Programming Intern will work alongside Tangled staff in daily operations, with primary focus on the following:
- Supporting the organization and presentation of Tangled’s booth at the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair (July 10–12).
- Assisting in organizing and planning for Tangled’s juried exhibition, opening in September 2026.
- Assisting with small rentals and community events.
The Internship will provide hands‑on experience in exhibition production and accessible arts practices, including:
- Installation preparation
- Artwork handling
- Event coordination
As capacity allows, the intern will also assist with general gallery and organizational activities. This is an in‑person position.
Candidate RequirementsApplicants must be a post‑secondary student who has already begun their program.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications- Knowledge of and/or experience in Deaf, Mad, and disability arts and culture.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in arts programming, event coordination, or gallery operations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Awareness of AODA legislation and disability justice principles.
- Comfort working in a collaborative, disability‑led environment.
