CG Character Rigger

About the Role

Brown Bag Films is seeking a CG Rigger to develop high‑quality rigs for characters, props, and environments that support artistic and technical needs of our productions.

• Design, create, test, and maintain character sets.
• Collaborate with animators to design motion controls.
• Create secondary dynamics systems to aid animation.
• Provide technical feedback to the modelling department to ensure topology meets deformation requirements.
• Work with production management to prioritize tasks.
• Troubleshoot problems with rigs in production.
• Perform technical checks and quality control on overseas and in‑house assets.
• Ensure outsource partner has clear direction on BBF rigging requirements.

• Working knowledge of CG pipeline and animation environment.
• Experience as a Rigger (or similar) in broadcast or feature film work. Desirable if familiar with asset tracking systems such as Shotgun.
• Strong rigging skills in Maya and ability to operate within the environment.

Salary range: $60,000 – $70,000 per year. Benefits include a comprehensive benefits package, paid vacation, and health & wellness days.
