Creative Texture Artist

Position: Creative Texture Artist Role
Join 9 Story Media as a Texture Artist focused on creating textures and shaders that fulfill narrative and artistic goals. Collaborate closely with the Art Department in this role.

In this role, you will report to the Texture Supervisor and be responsible for crafting textures that meet both artistic and technical requirements. Your proactive problem-solving abilities will help address issues via IT and pipeline tickets, ensuring smooth workflow. By logging time daily, you contribute to organizational efficiency while participating in animatic reviews and asset evaluations with your team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete textures and shaders within scheduled timelines

• Produce IT and pipeline tickets for technical problems

• Maintain daily logs of time spent on tasks

• Participate in dailies reviewing Texture team’s outputs

• Collaborate in animatic reviews for quality improvement

Requirements:

• Understanding of CG pipeline essentials

• Training in CG animation or self-taught in techniques

• Skills in Photoshop or related 3D painting software

• Familiarity with Maya advantageous

• Must reside in Ontario and have Canadian work eligibility
