Reporting to the Executive Producer, the  Senior Producer - Partnership Content  is responsible for the management and coordination of features and partnership content for CBC Sports and CBC Olympics and Paralympics.

Responsibilities include:

content development, production planning and executing the distribution and programming roll‑out of all pre‑produced and in‑games content executions. The successful candidate will lead content creators and collaborate with a large multiplatform team through production and scheduling to ensure efficient and timely content delivery. The Senior Producer will benefit from an understanding of CBC Radio‑Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic production model, and require proven experience in partnership content execution, a familiarity with external co‑production requirements and be comfortable communicating with external agencies, internal stakeholders and clients on behalf of CBC Sports and CBC Olympics and Paralympics.

In collaboration with the Unit Production Manager and the Executive Producer, the Senior Producer will plan the financial and production/resource requirements including creative contributors and other participants, the material and facilities. During program preparation, production and post‑production, the Senior Producer is responsible and accountable for exercising budget authority. You will be required to regularly coordinate the work of others, including planning the work schedules of others to meet business needs.

The Senior Producer of Partnership Content is a senior leadership role that must balance content needs by platform and program, the business requirements of CBC Radio‑Canada’s sales and content marketing team as well as the editorial expectations that conform to CBC’s journalistic Standards and Practices where applicable.
Key Tasks     Develop content concepts in collaboration with a multi-platform team of content creators
Plan, select and request, in collaboration with the Unit or Business Manager, the financial and production/resource requirements including the creative contributors and other participants, the material and facilities.
Assign, coordinate and supervise the work of personnel who contribute to the program or segment for which the Senior Producer is responsible;
Evaluate all facets of a production including the performance of program and production personnel, and freelance contributors.
During program preparation, production and post-production, is responsible and accountable for exercising budget authority.

What You Bring     The job requires seven years' experience of which three must involve work in broadcasting or a closely related industry, which is directly related to the area of assignment.
