Job SummaryThe Concierge staff provides excellent customer service to all owners, residents, prospective residents, guests, and vendors. Concierge staff members are the face of the property and promote a sense of community.
Essential Job Functions- Welcome resident guests and open doors for residents and guests.
- Answer the concierge phone line and handle after‑hours package pickup.
- Address resident inquiries and concerns, and update communication logs on the resident portal.
- Manage general security (e.g., loitering).
- Provide resources to customers and maintain an open, welcoming environment for residents, customers, vendors, and neighbors.
- Acquire a broad knowledge of the community and surrounding area.
- Build strong relationships with current and future members of the apartment community.
- Market the property and maintain positive relationships with residents to ensure open and effective communication.
- Assist with on‑site and off‑site resident events and initiatives.
- Post updates on social media, blog, and internet presence.
- Work as part of the site team to ensure each event is sociable and pleasurable.
- Provide general resident services such as carrying items to suites, calling taxis, scheduling reservations, and coordinating event tickets.
- Ensure the community amenities area has the necessary property inventory.
- Monitor and assist with amenity reservations and events.
- Proactively communicate with management about issues or concerns.
- Review the activity log and be ready to begin work at shift commencement.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding residents.
- Adhere to all property guidelines and standards of performance.
- Maintain an appropriate level of presentation for the work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Speak, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Maintain a professional appearance and comply with the prescribed dress code policy.
- Cope in a fast‑paced environment and work under minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years in an upscale customer service/concierge setting preferred.
- Existing knowledge of the neighborhood and community preferred.
Ability to sit for extended periods; moderate standing, reaching, walking, stooping, and lifting; handle small objects; lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Working ConditionsWork is completed both indoors and outdoors. Indoor environment has temperature control and natural/artificial light. Outdoor environment includes all weather conditions. Employees are exposed to paint fumes, solvents, adhesives, carpet fumes, chemical fumes, toner products, pool chemicals, and others.
Travel RequirementsMinimum travel to regional offices for meetings and training sessions.
Must be available to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis.
