Reporting to the Telecommunications Manager, you will serve as the first point of contact in critical situations for the Centenary, General, or Birchmount hospitals. Your key responsibilities include monitoring alarm panels and initiating emergency procedures. You’ll need excellent typing and computer skills alongside a commitment to customer service and interpersonal communication. This role demands dependability and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide switchboard services with respect and care
• Monitor alarm panels and initiate emergency codes
• Assist in maintaining patient privacy and dignity
• Work collaboratively with hospital staff and public
• Fill in for shifts as required during absences
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 education
• Typing speed of at least 30 wpm with accuracy
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong command of English and customer service skills
• Ability to work various shifts including nights and weekends
Engage in meaningful patient interactions and promote excellence in customer service at Scarborough Health Network.
