Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is looking to fill two SPARK Program Lead positions aimed at fostering research access and mentorship for Black and Indigenous medical students. The role encompasses strategic program development and student support, with a required commitment of at least 0.1 FTE. Be a role model and advocate for diversity in academic medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead strategic discussions around SPARK’s impact
• Facilitate the recruitment process for student placements
• Collaborate with various departments for research supervision
• Organize mentorship for students navigating challenges
• Build a sense of community through events and seminars
Requirements:
• Experience mentoring in academic settings
• Understanding of Canadian medical education
• Background as a Black and/or Indigenous physician
• Excellent leadership and organizational capabilities
• Experience in program administration or development
