Dental Hygienist Opportunity

Become a vital part of the dental team at Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre as a part-time Dental Hygienist. Help serve the community with high-quality dental care for 14 hours a week on a temporary contract.

Your role as a Dental Hygienist involves performing comprehensive oral health assessments and treatments while educating clients on maintaining optimal oral hygiene. You will collaborate with dentists and contribute to the health promotion initiatives aimed at improving community wellbeing. Engage with clients from diverse backgrounds and make a difference in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' medical and oral health histories

• Perform hygiene treatments and educate clients

• Assist in dental procedures and periodontal charting

• Prepare and process digital radiographs

• Supervise and mentor dental hygiene students

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid license from CDHO

• Experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment

• Strong communication skills

• Comfortable working with various client demographics

• Preferred self-initiation designation
