Dental Assistant Level I or II

Position: *Dental Assistant Level I or II
Dental office at Dufferin and Queen is looking for a Dental Assistant either full-time or part-time.

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experienced Dental Assistant, minimum of 2 years experience in a Canadian office
Must be HARP certified

Experience with digital radiographs
Must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in english
Loves interacting with people and positive, upbeat personality
Organized, dependable, and stays calm when things get busy
Takes pride in creating a comfortable, positive experience for every patient.
Works well as part of a team while also being confident working independently

LOCATION
Dufferin/King

HOURS
Full-time, Part-Time may be available
Hours are to be finalized
Clinic is open 10-7 weekdays & 9-3 Sat

COMPENSATION
$25-$35 depending on experience and performance

JOB OVERVIEW
Assisting dentist during dental procedures that features handing instruments and other materials
Assisting dentist with restorations,root canals, crowns,bridges,veneers,implants,invisalign,fillings,extractionsandmouthguards
Placement and removal of rubber dams
Taking x-rays of patients' teethand exposing dental diagnostic x-rays
Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures
Taking preliminary impressions
Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics
Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference
Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs
Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before,during and after dental treatment
