Position OverviewThe job of a Workplace Designer with M Moser Associates is to become an integral member of our Project Teams in the design and execution of one-of-a-kind workplace projects. You will contribute from the early conceptual stages and client interviews, through design development including generation of computer-generated visuals and 3D visualization, leading into contract documentation and construction administration.
This role sits at the heart of design exploration, visualization, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. You will work closely with senior designers, strategists, architects, engineers, and other specialists to translate ideas into spatial solutions that are aligned with project goals. You will actively participate in developing design, presentations, visual materials, and design studies that communicate the evolving design story.
As a Workplace Designer, you are hands-on in the creative work while contributing positively to the team culture. You bring curiosity, a collaborative spirit, and a willingness to learn from others. You help foster an open environment where ideas can be exchanged, questions are encouraged, and the team can do its best work. PrimaryResponsibilities
- Prepare, deliver and win design presentation opportunities for new medium- large sized projects on a consistent basis
- Collaborate to develop client solutions and solve complex problems
- Brainstorm with in-house strategic planners to consider new solutions that address cultural opportunities in each project and redefine our understanding of everyday paradigms
- Interface consistently and proactively with clients to ensure a smooth project delivery from inception to closure
- Establish and maintain a high level of trust between the project team, client and other project stakeholders
- Manage team drawings, studies, specifications and other project tasks on multiple projects
- Mentor and coach junior designers for enhances teamwork and skill-building
- Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to share design and construction expertise in order to create inventive, well-crafted environments
Competencies:
- 4+ years of work experience contributing to workplace interior design projects
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design or other related field
- Proficiency in Revit, Sketch Up, AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), In Design
- Skilled in executing detailed working drawings
- Exceptional organizational skills and experience effectively contributing to multiple projects at the same time
- Knowledge of local codes and permitting processes and requirements
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
