This position is responsible for leading Design & Execution of Projects for Tim Hortons US across all restaurant formats, including both architecture and interior design. The role involves working internally and with consultants to develop creative, site‑specific plans tailored from internal design guidelines for a variety of projects and markets while communicating design to restaurant owner groups and internal clients through written, visual, technological, and verbal means.
Key Responsibilities- Work with architectural consultants to adapt and apply design standards to specific projects, modernizing the brand and enhancing the guest experience.
- Draw and sketch space plans, exterior concept elevations, interior concept elevations, and renderings.
- Present and collaborate directly with Restaurant Owner Clients to review and refine schematic designs, guiding them through the development process.
- Develop and present conceptual and schematic design ideas that advance the brand image while working with consultants to formulate solutions for diverse business needs.
- Create visualizations of proposed concepts and ideas.
- Participate in meetings with consultants and executives to comprehend and respond to a wide range of projects and project types.
- Review and approve prototypical shop drawings and/or physical samples from vendors, including millwork, furniture, materials (application), artwork, and graphics.
- Post‑secondary education in Interior Design or Architecture.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in architecture or interior design, encompassing design development, space planning, rendering, drafting, and presentations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (v.2018 or later) and 3D modeling/rendering software such as Sketch Up.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Design experience in the restaurant or retail industry.
- Experience managing design consultants and clients.
- Base salary range: $110,000–$140,000 CAD, subject to experience, education, location, and skill.
- Eligibility to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan.
- Potential additional compensation through equity grants under the company’s long‑term incentive plan.
