Overview
MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is looking for an Architectural Project Manager to join our Client Programs Market team in Toronto, ON. The role involves leading project teams through all phases of project execution—contract management, design, documentation, permitting, and construction administration—while maintaining project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Manage project teams through all project phases, ensuring deliverables align with contracts, schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure required contracts are in place before execution.
- Create and maintain milestone‑based project schedules and staffing workplans.
- Develop detailed Project Charters, including QA/QC plans.
- Assist with project proposals and RFP responses.
- Monitor project financial status, conduct interim financial reviews, and review invoicing and consultant billing.
- Produce weekly project updates and lead internal and external meetings.
- Participate in Quality Control procedures and review all externally distributed deliverables.
- Oversee Construction Administration activities, including RFI, submittal logs, and site visit reports.
- Host project debrief meetings after construction, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Initiate project close‑out procedures per contractual obligations.
- Manage internal and external resources to ensure quality and profitability.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a professional architecture or design firm.
- Professional licensing preferred.
- Experience leading teams throughout milestone‑based project delivery.
- Basic knowledge of architectural contracts and execution procedures.
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Experience with collaboration software such as Bluebeam, Miro, and Teams.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
