Junior Interior Designer

Position: Junior Interior Designer at BGIS
Elevate your design career with BGIS as a Junior Interior Designer. This role focuses on functional planning, drafting, and 3D modeling while working full-time in a collaborative environment.

As a Junior Interior Designer, you will support the Sr Workplace Strategist in developing stacking and blocking plans while assisting in interior design projects. You’ll be involved in producing detailed working drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and will learn to deliver engaging presentations that convey design concepts. This position offers valuable experience in a variety of design processes and project coordination tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support functional planning and information gathering workshops

• Develop stacking and blocking plans and room data sheets

• Create 3D renderings and working drawings in CAD

• Maintain strong client relationships and communicate progress

• Check compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• 1-5 years in an interior design role

• Strong AutoCAD and drafting skills

• Knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards

• Experience with MS Office and design software

• BAID degree from a CIDA accredited institution
