Urban Design Manager

Position: Urban Design Manager for The Bentway
Transform Toronto’s public spaces as an Urban Design Manager at The Bentway. This full-time position embraces hybrid working, focusing on multidisciplinary design leadership.

In this role, you’ll report directly to the Director of Planning & Design while handling multiple design initiatives. Your expertise will guide projects through all stages, engaging community partners and contractors. An ideal candidate has five years of relevant experience in urban design or architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage design projects along the Gardiner Expressway

• Coordinate with consultants and stakeholders throughout development

• Draft RFPs and technical documentation for design phases

• Maintain budgets and ensure operational efficiency

• Communicate designs and strategies with leadership

Requirements:

• Five years of experience in relevant design fields

• Strong ability to manage diverse projects simultaneously

• Proven collaboration with governmental and private sectors

• Knowledge of sustainability standards and equitable design

• Proficiency in design software and visual communication tools
