We are looking for a product design co‑op to help enhance the Intuit Design System, the foundational design system that serves all designers and developers live at the intersection of design and code, defining design tokens, UI components, and patterns for web, mobile and artificial intelligence‑driven product interfaces. We work closely with the Intuit Brand team to ensure all products adhere to brand standards that we define.
You’ll be joining a team of design system experts who love design and code, and serve as unwavering advocates for solving our customers’ problems.
- Collaborate around solving customer problems using design thinking methods
- Define design system elements based on brand and product guidelines, including accessibility and usability standards
- Conceptualize a broad spectrum of ideas and then narrow to a critical few to validate
- Design high‑quality deliverables and assets such as interaction patterns, design system docs, wireframes, and prototypes (code or Figma), checked against accessibility guidelines as part of the standard design process
- Participate in customer research with clear goals and a testable hypothesis, including input from customers with a range of abilities and needs
- Share your work with others, collaborating with other designers, content strategists, product managers, product developers, marketers, and researchers to improve your work as you go
- Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive results
- An understanding of the value and role of design systems in a company
- An understanding of the intersection of design and code
- Strong communication skills to convey ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wire framing, and prototyping
- Customer‑obsessed and passionate about creating products that resonate on an emotional level and drive business results
- Strong fundamental knowledge of UX design practices and tools such as design thinking, decision mapping, prototyping & wire framing, Figma, Adobe XD, conducting deep user research
- Strong understanding of inclusive design principles and a commitment to creating accessible, equitable experiences that meet the needs of our various customers
- Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary education program with a graduation date after the co‑op ends
- Available for an 4‑month co‑op work term, from September 2026 – December 2026, for 40 hours per week
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for the duration of the co‑op term, without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability to work in our Toronto office a minimum of 3 days per week
The expected base pay range for this position is:
Toronto: $36–$46/hr CAD
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
