This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior BIM Coordinator / Specialist to play a key role in digital project delivery, BIM leadership, and multidisciplinary coordination on high-profile projects. Working closely with architects, consultants, and project teams, you will help drive BIM excellence, establish best practices, and ensure high-quality model coordination throughout all phases of design and construction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead BIM coordination across multiple large-scale projects from design through construction on high profile, confidential government projects.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models and facilitate consultant collaboration.
- Perform clash detection and conflict resolution using Navisworks and Revit.
- Ensure project models comply with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), project standards, and quality control procedures.
- Develop, maintain, and improve BIM standards, workflows, templates, and Revit content libraries.
- Support project teams with BIM best practices, troubleshooting, and technical guidance.
- Monitor model health, file management, and project documentation.
- Assist with data extraction, model deliverables, and digital project coordination.
- Mentor and train team members on BIM processes and evolving technologies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve digital project delivery.
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4+ years of BIM coordination experience within an architectural practice.
- Strong proficiency with BIM tools
- Demonstrated experience performing clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, workflows.
- Excellent knowledge of construction documentation and building systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Dynamo, Rhino, AutoCAD, Form It, or digital fabrication tools is considered an asset.
Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must be eligible to obtain Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance
.
- Canadian Citizen.
- Have resided in Canada for a minimum of 10 consecutive years.
- Have not visited, resided in, or maintained significant ties with countries that may affect security clearance eligibility within the past 10 years (India, Iran, Russia, China)
- Available to work on-site a minimum of four (4) days per week.
