Sr. Product Designer

• Conduct comprehensive user research to gather insights from diverse customer segments, including educators, students, journalists, and content creators, to inform design decisions.
• Oversee the entire design process, from brainstorming initial concepts and creating user flows to developing high-fidelity interfaces that resonate with users.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to define project scopes, refine product features, and ensure the successful launch of high-quality products.
• Establish and enhance internal design workflows to adapt to the evolving needs of our products and organization as we scale.
• Create and maintain design documentation to ensure consistency and clarity across all design initiatives.
• Facilitate design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the design team.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure our designs remain innovative and competitive.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the organization, ensuring that user needs are prioritized in product development.

• At least 5 years of experience in product design, demonstrating a track record of managing projects from inception to completion.
• A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design work, including examples of research, problem-solving, and polished user interfaces.
• Proven ability to distill complex technical systems into user-friendly experiences that are both intuitive and engaging.
• A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership, capable of making informed decisions and iterating designs based on user feedback.
• Experience in fast-paced startup environments or early-stage companies, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Previous experience in designing systems powered by artificial intelligence, showcasing an understanding of AI technologies and their implications for user experience.
• Familiarity with design systems and the ability to contribute to their development and maintenance.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices to ensure inclusive design.

• Proficient in end-to-end product design, from ideation to execution.
• Strong user research skills, with the ability to synthesize findings into actionable design insights.
• Expertise in interface design, creating visually appealing and functional user interfaces.
• Experience with prototyping tools to create interactive mockups and validate design concepts.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, bridging the gap between design, engineering, and product management.
