The BIM Modeler is crucial in supporting Aecon's technical teams by creating detailed designs for temporary works and construction methodologies. With at least two years of CAD drafting experience, you will work collaboratively with engineers to coordinate models and ensure compliance with project requirements. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, along with effective communication and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce 2D and 3D models for construction projects
• Develop construction methods and site logistics drawings
• Manage CAD files within the Integrated Digital Delivery environment
• Maintain version control and document history
• Support quantity take-offs and material information extraction
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in CAD/drafting or related field
• Minimum 2 years of CAD drafting experience
• Strong skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Familiarity with BIM and common data environments
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately
