Position: Trend-Focused Apparel Designer Role
Mad Engine Global is on the lookout for a Trend-Focused Apparel Designer based in Toronto, Ontario. Elevate retail offerings with your creative designs for branded apparel collections.

In this role, you will be integral to the design team, translating current fashion trends into commercially viable collections for major Canadian retailers. You will partner with product development and merchandising teams, ensuring your designs align with market trends and brand aesthetics. Your knack for understanding fabrications, colors, and silhouettes will enhance innovative product designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design apparel across licensed and private label segments

• Use trend research to inspire seasonal product lines

• Draft technical sketches and create line sheets

• Conduct seasonal assortment development and presentations

• Review and refine prototypes for retail alignment

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or Apparel Design

• 3-5 years of design experience in the apparel industry

• Strong portfolio showcasing design and graphical skills

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

• Excellent organization and time management abilities
