The role / What are we looking for?
KPMB is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join our dynamic and innovative Digital Practice team. This role supports and advances Building Information Modeling (BIM) practices across project teams, bridging daily project delivery with firm-wide BIM initiatives. Responsibilities span BIM standards implementation, model management and coordination, technical support, training and onboarding, and continuous improvement of workflows, tools, and model quality.
The BIM Coordinator works closely with project teams, the Digital Practice group, IT, and leadership to keep BIM use consistent and effective, in alignment with industry best practices and the firm’s design objectives.
Select key responsibilities:
Project BIM Coordination and Standards:
Provide hands-on BIM support to project teams throughout all phases of work, including project setup, troubleshooting, use of new technologies, programs and plug-ins and coordination.
Serve as Project BIM/Model Lead for select portfolio projects, applying BIM standards, workflows, and project-specific requirements, and providing timely guidance during critical milestones and deadlines.
Facilitate model coordination and clash detection, working with project teams to resolve issues.
Support the consistent application of firm BIM standards, templates, content libraries, and workflows across projects, including development of BEPs and project-specific BIM processes.
Conduct model health checks and maintenance to support consistency, accuracy, and quality of project models and documentation.
Assist with quality control and testing for software and plug-in updates and deployments.
Digital Tools and Content Development:
Support the effective use of BIM and related digital tools (e.g., Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, Rhino, Bluebeam, visualization tools).
Create, maintain, and manage Revit families, templates, and model content as required.
Assist project teams in adopting new technologies, programs, and plug-ins, including Virtual Reality (VR) as needed.
Training and Knowledge Share:
Support the onboarding process for new employees, by introducing our Digital Practice tools, BIM standards, established workflows, and best practices.
Provide one-on-one support, software training, and upskilling to architectural teams and employees.
Contribute to BIM resources, documentation, and knowledge-sharing materials, and participate in training sessions, workshops, and learning initiatives that build BIM capability firmwide.
Participate in Digital Practice working groups focused on process improvement, standards development, and innovation, including exploration and adoption of new technologies and workflows.
Contribute to rendering, visualization, and emerging technology initiatives, and support additional BIM and Digital Practice activities as directed by leadership.
Candidate Profile + Qualifications
