The Department of Medicine hael’s Hospital, in conjunction with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is seeking a qualified full‑time academic Infectious Diseases specialist. The candidate will hold a clinical teacher (CT) position and must be eligible for a full‑time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The expected start date is July 1, 2026, or shortly thereafter.

Qualifications:

MD degree; eligible for certification in Infectious Diseases by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).

Experience in inpatient consultations and outpatient care, including care of individuals living with HIV, substance use disorder, and precarious housing.

Collaborate in educational programs in Infectious Diseases hael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto; participate in clinical research and quality improvement.

Graduate degree or other advanced training in teaching or education; proven academic record of excellence in teaching and education.

Responsibilities:

Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient care in Infectious Diseases.

Teach and develop educational programs in Infectious Diseases.

Conduct clinical research, quality improvement projects, and scholarly activities.

Collaborate with the Division of Infectious Diseases and broader public health initiatives.
