Department of Medicine (Division: Haematology/Oncology)
Position Summary
Humber River Hospital is seeking a locum medical oncologist to join its Division of Haematology/Oncology to fulfil a parental leave for a 1.0 FTE Medical Oncologist between the dates of January 12, 2027 – August 14, 2027. The successful candidate will have FRCPC certification in Oncology and Malignant Hematology respectively and join a dynamic group of six oncologists and three hematologists to see new referrals in our medical oncology clinic, participate in the inpatient consultation service roughly one week in six, and participate in clinical trials.
No MRP work or overnight medical coverage is required.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
In addition to demonstrated clinical excellence and outstanding interpersonal skills, candidates must be a qualified medical practitioner and a member of, or eligible for membership, with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario. Candidates must also have relevant certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
As a member of TAHSN, HRH provides placements for medical learners at all levels. The successful candidate will have a recognized interest in education initiatives, including the teaching, supervision and mentoring of medical learners. Applicants must have or be eligible for a faculty appointment in the appropriate clinical department at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.
