General Surgeon Locum at GTA Hospital

Exciting locum opportunity for a General Surgeon at a large multi-site hospital system in the east end of the GTA. Join a skilled team with anesthesia and subspecialty surgery support.

This 3-month contract offers access to OR and endoscopy resources, with competitive remuneration on a fee-for-service basis. You will participate in on-call duties on a schedule of 1 in 7, working alongside six General Surgeons and an ACS service. Ideal for those looking for temporary engagement with potential for extension until further notice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general surgical procedures in a multi-site setting

• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgery colleagues

• Provide on-call surgical support as scheduled

• Access OR and endoscopy resources as needed

• Maintain high standards of patient care throughout assignment

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid General Surgery license

• Member of OAGS or willing to become one

• Experience in acute care settings preferred

• Available starting January 1, 2027

• Commitment through extension period preferred
