Position Overview

Reporting to the Principal and/or his delegate, and working in collaboration with the teachers and resource teachers, you will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environ ment that helps students meet their learning goals.

Responsibilities (English)

• Create a supportive learning environ ment that helps students meet their learning goals.
• Understand the needs of all student groups and use appropriate study materials and resources that enhance active learning and motivation.
• Oversee student progress by tracking assignments and providing useful feedback.
• Plan course materials and activities.
• Build trusting relationships with students, parents, and other staff.

Responsabilités (Français)

• Créer un environnement d’apprentissage favorable qui aide les élèves à atteindre leurs objectifs d’apprentissage.
• Comprendre clairement les besoins de tous les groupes d’étudiants.
• Utiliser le matériel d’étude et les ressources appropriés qui favorisent l’apprentissage actif et motivent les étudiants.
• Surveiller leurs progrès en suivant leurs travaux, afin de leur fournir un retour d’information utile.
• Planifier le matériel et les activités de cours.
• Établir des relations de confiance avec les élèves, les parents et les autres membres du personnel.

Qualifications (English)

• Excellent French and English skills (oral and written).
• Certified teacher (OCT or equivalent) with a degree in education (B.Ed. or M.Ed.).
• Ability to teach in French (native language) and conduct English conversation (Level B2).
• Good knowledge of the French curriculum.
• Experience as a French teacher.
• Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Ontario programs would be an asset.
• Teacher certification by the French Ministry of Education would also be an asset.

Qualifications (Français)

• Maîtrise parfaite du français et de l’anglais (parlé et écrit).
• Être titulaire d’un diplôme d’enseignant.
• Doit pouvoir enseigner en français (niveau équivalent à langue maternelle) et converser en anglais (niveau B2 minimum).
• De bonnes connaissances du curriculum français.
• Expérience en tant que professeur de lettres modernes.
• Une connaissance des programmes d’enseignement ontarien et du baccalauréat international (BI) serait un avantage.
• Un diplôme d’enseignant par le Ministère de l’éducation nationale de France serait aussi un sérieux atout.
