We are looking for a Math and Science Teacher who will primarily be teaching Grade 10 Math and 1 section of Science.
What You’ll Do:
Prepare lesson plans, outlines and assessments using inquiry and problem-based learning that engages students, challenges them, and meets the subject-specific outcomes and expectationsHave the ability to differentiate lesson plans based on the needs of your studentsParticipate in co-curricular activities including coaching, clubs, trips and participating in the school community as a wholeMake contributions that productively support the overall well-being and growth of students in the Senior SchoolIntegrate technology in the classroom in ways that enhance the student learning experience and deepen knowledge and conceptual understandingCommunicate effectively with parents about all aspects of the overall program and the individual learning of each studentIntegrate diversity, equity, inclusiveness and belonging into the classroom learning environmentWho You Are:
Must have an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate preferably in Mathematics and ScienceIntermediate/Senior teaching qualificationsA passion for aligning educational research with classroom practiceStrong proficiency in Google Suite; knowledge of Brightspace an assetA growth mindset of continuous improvement and learningCulturally competent with a positive attitude toward cultural uniqueness, as well as a readiness to accept and respect othersDemonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment for your students, with families and your colleagues.Why Work at BSS?
