Your opportunity:
Reporting to the Assistant Dean and Registrar, this role is responsible for enrollment, program progression and graduation eligibility for the BScN, MN, Post-Masters, PhD and DN programs. In this role the incumbent will also track and advise students who are outside of their standard program progression to provide support on enrolment options and leaves of absence and confirm program completion requirements of graduating students to relevant nursing licensing bodies.
In addition the role will provide support on core registrarial processes such as curriculum change, grade submission and petitions.
This role also oversees day-to-day operational needs and service delivery requirements of the Bloomberg graduate programs. This includes in-person delivery of academic residency programs as well as confirming eligibility for candidacy and coordinating activities associated with doctoral proposal defenses and final oral examinations.
The incumbent will provide proactive, exceptional customer services to a diverse student and faculty population along with supporting day-to-day operational service as part of the registrarial and student services team.
The incumbent is required to work overtime on weekdays and/or weekends in peak periods.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing plans and process improvements for registration and enrollment activities
- Reviewing and assessing student records to confirm eligibility to graduate
- Collecting and submitting grades
- Advising contacts on the interpretation of petitions and/or appeals rules and policies
- Exchanging information at formal department and/or program committee meetings
Essential
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum four (4) years of recent work experience in a post-secondary registrarial environment including specific experience with academic records, student enrolment, student advising and graduation progression/eligibility processes.
- Knowledge of and experience with degree requirements and maintenance of student information.
- Experience with registrarial processes such as curriculum change, grade submissions and petitions.
- Excellent customer service skills, a commitment to student success and the enhancement of diversity.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing duties.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- The ability to use judgment, patience and decisiveness in a high volume, high activity and often deadline driven environment.
- Exceptional computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook, Access, working knowledge of Keynote Prezi, HTML, social media, and virtual meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom)
- Experience with content management systems/ enrolment systems and student information systems.
