Agile Innovators Montessori is an established Montessori School in the Steeles neighborhood of Scarborough on Warden and Steeles. Our School is founded on warm and loving relationships with our students, parents, and staff. AIM offers Montessori Casa Program for children from 2.5 to 6 years of age and is geared towards wholesome development of every child following Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy on child development.

We are seeking a Montessori qualified Educator to fill the requirement for a Montessori or Montessori Assistant position in our Preschool Classroom(Casa). We are looking for someone who is compassionate, loving and caring towards children, passionate about Montessori pedagogy and possesses the qualities to work as a team. The ideal candidate would be adaptable, fast learner and understands the child as a sensorial learner.

• Responsible for children lesson planning and teaching
• Maintains open communication with co-workers and parents;
• Maintains classroom, all teaching materials and classroom binders in good condition;
• Responsible for disinfecting and sanitizing the environment;
• Participates in outdoor activities with children;
• Understands Child Care and Early Years Act, and ensures the program compliance with the Ministry’s requirements;
• Responsible for washroom routines;
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator and/or Head Teacher;
• Record keeping (classroom and students); and
• Responsible for French Lessons.

• Montessori qualified
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience in a Montessori Casa environment, new graduates are welcome.
• Valid Standard First Aid and Level “C” CPR
• Up-to-date medical, TB test and immunization records
• Vulnerable Sector Check required upon hire
• Strong communication (verbal and written) skills
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
• Basic French is preferred
• Food Handler Certificate preferred;
• Effective organizational, scheduling and time management skills.

Up to 25-40 hours per week
