The Toronto Holocaust Museum is a space for education and dialogue about this vital history and its ongoing relevance. The Museum serves as a powerful and growing force against antisemitism, bigotry and hatred in all its forms. Our state-of-the-art facility is the premier destination for Holocaust education in the city showcasing cutting edge technology, including interactive Holocaust survivor testimony stations at the core of each exhibit space and augmented reality tablet tours.

The Museum deepens the public’s knowledge and understanding while, inspiring visitors to think critically about the tragedies of the Holocaust and to make connections between the Holocaust, world events, and contemporary Canadian life.

In this unprecedented rise of antisemitism, the Toronto Holocaust Museum seeks a dynamic and passionate Educator with a specialization in combating antisemitism and a background in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This position involves developing and implementing strategies to foster a more inclusive and tolerant environment within educational settings including public, private and Catholic schools. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to promote understanding, empathy, and awareness, with a particular focus on addressing antisemitism.

They will be proactively reaching out to administrators, educators and education decision makers to collaborate and build capacity within the schools to effectively counter antisemitism.

Using existing resources and sourcing new demonstrably effective tools to facilitate high impact experiences for students and educators, this Educator will also train the trainer including, teachers, volunteer educators, consultants and those in educational leadership positions. Solid teaching experience in the classroom is required. They will develop a menu of options for various training scenarios that may be in response to an antisemitic incident but also may be part of a proactive initiative of the Museum, CIJA or UJA.

The Educator will be part of the Toronto Holocaust Museum team, reporting to the Director of Museum Experience and working collaboratively with the Education Manager, Education Administrator and volunteers.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about fashion, art, and design who enjoys inspiring creativity and confidence in young learners.

This is a hands-on, in-house role for an early-career designer who will help bring campaigns, programs, and events to life.
