We are also leading Canadian efforts to upgrade the ATLAS tracker, the ITk. We are an ITk endcap hybrid and module assembly site.

The Research Associate is expected to independently carry out research on the ATLAS experiment at CERN’s LHC collider. This will include developing a physics analysis of the ATLAS data in one of the topical areas listed above or other physics being done with the ATLAS data. In addition, they will be responsible for the electrical testing of readout hybrids and modules we are building for the ITk tracker upgrade of ATLAS.

In this role, they will work closely with our CFI‑supported project scientist, who is responsible for the overall production of detector parts, providing them with feedback on the quality of the parts being built and supporting our industrial partner by maintaining the testing electronics we have operating in the assembly cleanroom.
