French Tutor – Part Time

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable French speaker to join our team at Oxford Learning York Mills as a part‑time French tutor/coach. The role involves teaching students how to learn French in small group settings (maximum three students per teacher).

• Teach up to three students at a time at different levels in French.
• Conduct sessions in person during after‑school and evening hours (3:30 pm – 7:30 pm) and some Saturdays (9:00 am – 1:00 pm). A commitment through the end of the school year is preferred and continuing through summer is even better.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.

• Strong background in spoken and written French and English.
• Comfortable teaching students up to Grade 9, with preference for Grade 12 (and higher).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field. Fourth‑year university students with tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Good knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 French core curriculum.
• Strong English written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage up to three students simultaneously.
• Vulnerable‑sector screening is mandatory. The role is in‑person; relocation packages are not available.
