This leadership role is instrumental in mentoring students, helping them access resources, and sharing information that fosters their academic success. You will oversee a team of Student Success Mentors, facilitating teamwork and collaboration among students, while also planning social activities that enhance community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor peers and promote available student resources
• Lead and guide the Student Success Mentors group
• Organize and manage events to foster community spirit
• Communicate effectively to relay important information
• Build relationships that enhance student collaboration
Requirements:
• Must be a currently enrolled student at York University
• Relevant previous experience preferred
• Strong ability to communicate and collaborate
• Understanding of diverse student experiences
• Capable of planning events and engaging others
