Engage students at the University of Toronto as a Sessional Lecturer for Winter Term 2027, teaching Information Behaviour. Leverage your expertise to shape how individuals interact with information.
This role requires experience in teaching and a strong foundation in information behaviour, ideally supported by a PhD or relevant Master’s degree. The course will focus on theoretical and practical aspects, drawing from Library and Information Science to foster deep understanding among 35 enrolled students. Prepare engaging materials and evaluations while holding regular office hours to support student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare comprehensive course materials and content
• Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and labs
• Create, administer, and grade assignments and tests
• Hold regular office hours for student support
• Analyze information behaviour through various perspectives
Requirements:
• Completed or nearing a PhD in a related field
• Master’s degree with extensive professional experience
• Relevant teaching experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of information behaviour concepts
• Geographical proximity to the University premises
