377H1 F, a course on Israel's political identity at the University of Toronto. This in-person role requires a PhD and university-level teaching experience.
The University of Toronto is seeking a Sessional Lecturer for the Fall semester. You will lead discussions on the interplay between Zionism and democratic values in Israel. Candidates must demonstrate teaching excellence and have a PhD in a relevant field to foster student understanding in this complex topic.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare course syllabus and marking scheme
• Plan and teach weekly lectures
• Set and grade assignments/tests/exams
• Submit final grades as per university regulations
• Hold office hours for student consultations
Requirements:
• PhD in Political Science or related field
• Teaching experience at the university level
• Evidence of excellence in teaching preferred
• Experience teaching a similar course is advantageous
• Ability to supervise and train TAs
