Position: Counsellor for Student Well-Being at YMCA
Make a difference in students' lives as a Counsellor for Student Well-Being at YMCA Academy in Toronto. This full-time role emphasizes goal-setting and emotional support for grades 6-12.

As a Student Life Counsellor, your focus will be on assisting students academically and personally. You will actively engage with educators, parents, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive support. Leading initiatives around mental health and anti-bullying will empower students in your care to maximize their potential in a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure confidentiality of student counselling records and sessions

• Support student success through effective communication and collaboration

• Identify students needing extra support and coordinate interventions

• Develop programs promoting positive behaviors and inclusivity

• Conduct workshops on mental health and relationship management

Requirements:

• Degree in social work, counselling, or psychology

• Relevant experience in school settings or counseling roles

• Exceptional communication and organizational skills

• Flexibility in working hours for various school events

• Understanding of equity and diversity in educational practices
