Who we need

Reporting to the Chair, Bachelor of Interior Design, we are seeking Sessional Faculty to join our Bachelor of Interior Design program. As our new Sessional Faculty, you will deliver course content and assess student performance, with a primary focus on studio-based instruction - guiding students through applied, real-world design scenarios that translate theory into practice.

These are remote (Canada-based) roles with synchronous teaching requirements aligned to EST time zones. Each 12-week term typically includes 1–3 courses. You will have flexibility in setting office hours, while ensuring accessibility for students across time zones.

How you will make an impact
  • Deliver applied, studio-based learning. You will teach Interior Design courses with a primary focus on studio-based instruction, guiding students through real‑world design scenarios such as client briefs, spatial programming, and concept development. You will help students translate theory into practice through hands‑on, project‑driven learning.
  • Facilitate a highly interactive learning environment. This is a synchronous, high‑engagement teaching model. You will lead live sessions, conduct one‑on‑one progress critiques, and facilitate final project presentations. You will maintain an active presence, supporting students through ongoing dialogue, feedback, and guidance.
  • Assess and support student success. You will evaluate student work through project‑based assessments, including major design submissions throughout the term. You will provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain regular communication, including weekly office hours, to support student development and progression.
