As a Summer Academy Faculty for Black North Initiative, you will engage with high-achieving Black students, enhancing their readiness for postsecondary education through rigorous university-preparatory instruction. You will design interactive lessons, assess student progress, and provide mentorship, ensuring an impactful educational experience throughout the intensive six-week program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver university-preparatory courses aligned with academic standards
• Design engaging and diverse lesson plans for the summer academy
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
• Hold regular office hours for academic support
• Collaborate with program leadership and support teaching assistants
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in relevant field required
• 4+ semesters of university-level teaching experience
• Proficient in educational technology platforms
• Strong communication skills essential
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
