The University of Toronto is hiring a Sessional Lecturer for CRI
3020H, to commence in September 2026. This course will facilitate in-depth analysis of Canadian criminological issues, such as bail reform and racial profiling. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating an effective learning environment through structured lessons, assessments, and student engagement strategies during office hours.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver lectures on criminology and policy influence
• Design and grade assessments to evaluate student understanding
• Submit grades and ensure compliance with academic standards
• Hold office hours for student interactions and support
• Gather necessary readings and materials for effective teaching
Requirements:
• Ph.D. or M.A. in a relevant social science field
• Professional experience in criminology or related discipline
• Teaching experience at the university level preferred
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
• Commitment to fostering student engagement and learning
