Become a Sessional Lecturer for FSL
105H5F Functional French at the University of Toronto. This in-person role involves teaching novice French, essential vocabulary, and cultural insights.
The University of Toronto seeks candidates for FSL
105H5F starting September 2026. As an instructor, you will focus on phonetics and the basic functions of the French language while promoting awareness of francophone cultures. A graduate degree in French Studies and experience in university-level teaching are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and teach university credit course content
• Conduct out-of-class interactions with students
• Create, administer, and mark assignments and tests
• Submit grades and manage course readings
• Oversee any TAs associated with the course
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in French Studies required
• Prior experience teaching French as a second language
• Near-native French fluency in written and spoken forms
• Strong record of teaching excellence preferred
