About the OpportunityExperience Advisors (XA) is seeking a Learner Services Manager to lead and oversee our instructional design function and learner strategy practice. This role sits at the center of delivery excellence, team leadership, and client partnership.
You will be responsible for guiding XA's team of instructional designers, overseeing the end-to-end development of learning solutions, and ensuring that client engagements translate into high-quality, measurable learning outcomes.
This is both a leadership and hands‑on role. You will shape how we design and deliver learning, elevate our standards and methods, and ensure that our clients experience a seamless journey from initial scoping through final delivery.
In this role, you will:- Lead and coach XA's instructional design team to deliver high‑impact learning solutions.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end lifecycle of learning engagements, from needs analysis through evaluation.
- Partner with account and client leads to ensure strong, trust‑based client relationships.
- Strengthen XA's learning methodologies, tools, and internal standards.
- Corporate Training Strategy Services – Advisory engagements that define capability gaps, learning roadmaps, and curriculum strategies.
- Training Content Development – Instructor‑led training (ILT), virtual instructor‑led training (VILT), eLearning, blended programs, and supporting learning assets.
- Training Delivery Enablement – Ensuring materials, facilitators, and supporting assets are prepared for effective live or digital delivery.
- Practice Development & Enhancements – Continuous improvement of XA's instructional design standards, templates, evaluation approaches, and technology usage.
- Lead and manage XA’s instructional design function across multiple concurrent client engagements.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development to instructional designers and contractors.
- Ensure consistent application of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies across all projects.
- Establish quality standards for storyboards, facilitator guides, learner materials, and digital assets.
- Remain hands‑on where needed, contributing directly to complex or high‑visibility projects.
- Serve as the senior learning lead across active engagements, ensuring alignment between client expectations and delivered solutions.
- Partner with account leads to support client conversations related to scope, learning strategy, timelines, and outcomes.
- Translate client business challenges into clear learning objectives, program structures, and evaluation plans.
- Monitor client satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of each engagement and proactively address risks or concerns.
- Oversee project plans, timelines, and resource allocation across the instructional design team.
- Balance team capacity with demand, ensuring high quality without over-extension.
- Review scopes of work and ensure delivery assumptions are realistic and achievable.
- Escalate risks or delivery challenges early and collaborate on practical solutions.
- Ensure that all learning solutions include measurable objectives and appropriate evaluation strategies.
- Refine XA’s instructional design frameworks, templates, and internal toolkits.
- Introduce improvements to workflow, collaboration, and documentation practices.
- Stay current on adult learning research, digital learning tools, and evolving instructional methodologies.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and learner impact across engagements.
- Contribute to internal knowledge‑sharing and capability building across XA.
- Instructional Design Leadership – Adult learning theory, ADDIE (or similar models), curriculum architecture, storyboarding.
- Team Management – Coaching, performance feedback, workload management; needs analysis, solution framing, executive‑level communication.
