Position: Secondary Teacher for Indigenous Education
Shape future leaders at the Native Learning Centre in Toronto as a Secondary Teacher. This role focuses on culturally relevant instruction and supporting First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students.

The Toronto District School Board invites applications for a two-year term as a Secondary Teacher at Jarvis Collegiate Institute. Ideal candidates are dedicated to equity, inclusion, and culturally grounded pedagogy. You will integrate Indigenous knowledge into teaching, foster a supportive classroom environment, and mentor both students and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead inclusive program development and implementation

• Provide culturally relevant instruction tailored to student needs

• Integrate Indigenous knowledge into classroom curricula

• Support the school community in Indigenous-related issues

• Assess and monitor Indigenous student success

Requirements:

• Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate in good standing

• Intermediate/senior qualifications in English and/or History

• Qualification in Special Education Part 1

• Knowledge of Indigenous languages and cultures preferred

• Commitment to promoting equitable educational practices
