Position: Secondary Teacher for Indigenous Learning
Empower Indigenous students as a Secondary Teacher at Toronto District School Board's Native Learning Centre Downtown. You'll deliver culturally relevant lessons and support educational goals in a dynamic term position.

The TDSB seeks a dedicated Secondary Teacher for a two-year term focused on First Nations, Métis, and Inuit education.

Your role includes fostering equity, integrating Indigenous knowledge, and mentoring students while collaborating with education partners. You'll address pressing issues and help nurture a positive Indigenous identity within a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inclusive instruction tailored to students' needs

• Integrate Indigenous cultural practices into the curriculum

• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student success

• Mentor educators in adapting programming for Indigenous students

• Coordinate access to resources and interventions

Requirements:

• Ontario College of Teachers’ Certificate of Qualification

• Qualifications in Guidance, Visual Arts, or Social Science

• Understanding of Indigenous cultures and languages

• Lived experience as a First Nations, Métis, or Inuit person

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
