Engage with aspiring managers as a Sessional Instructional Assistant at the University of Toronto. This role involves teaching Markets and Competitive Strategy with a focus on entrepreneurial business methodologies.
Join the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering for a sessional teaching position from July to September 2026. This course, focusing on marketing strategies in technology firms, requires strong analytical skills and prior teaching experience. You will facilitate online case-study sessions, grade assignments, and help develop course materials for a class of 100 students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct online case-study analysis sessions for students
• Grade assignments, mid-terms, and final assessments
• Invigilate the in-person final exam in September
• Assist in developing course-related case study materials
• Coordinate tutorial sessions and administrative tasks (for Head SIA)
Requirements:
• PhD or Master’s in marketing or strategy
• Strong marketing and strategy background
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• Engineering background is an asset
• Commitment to inclusive teaching practices
