Children and Youth Program Support Assistant – CSJ

99 Duncan Mill Rd, North York, ON M3B 1Z2, Canada
Reporting to the Director, Community Programs, the Children & Youth Program Support Assistant will assist in the delivery of Children & Youth programs, specifically curriculum delivered in Summer 2026.
Responsibilities- Assist children enrolled in group classes with engagement in program activities. Group classes are led by Occupational Therapists and Program Instructors.
- Contribute to creation of resources for participants and families.
- Prepare program materials for use in group classes.
- Help families and community members navigate the Community Hub, including accompanying caregivers/parents to appropriate spaces and welcoming families upon arrival.
- Assist with setting up program spaces, tearing them down after sessions, and supporting clean‑up activities.
- Other duties contributing to program delivery as assigned.
- Currently enrolled in high school or postsecondary program.
- Exceptional communication and written skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work in a team or independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of employment.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
International students are not eligible participants.
Salary and Employment Details- Salary: $17.60 per hour.
- Duration: 8 weeks.
- Work Arrangement:
Hybrid – 99 Duncan Mills Rd, Toronto, ON.
