Position: CHINESE SCHOOL – PRINCIPAL (North York)
Overview

Position Summary:

Responsible for daily operation of Chinese school campus(es), ensuring safety and security of campus(es), supervising and providing supports to teachers and implementing school policies and procedures.
Responsibilities     Set and uphold high standards for teaching and learning; conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback/reports
Lead the Chinese School program review and curriculum development in alignment with committee goals
Plan and facilitate professional development, including teachers’ meetings and the Annual Teachers’ Meeting
Oversee campus safety and security, including the implementation of emergency protocols and drills
Manage campus resources, including physical facilities, equipment, supplies, and budget allocation
Facilitate school-wide events and academic competitions
Collaborate with the Administrative Officer to manage student registration, scholarships, and the final reporting process
Maintain proactive and professional communication with the parent community to address inquiries and school matters
Perform other duties related to school operations in general
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications     Teachers’ College Diploma or equivalent
Solid management experience, preferably in a school setting
With previous teaching experience
Good command of English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and supervisory skills
Working Hours     September to June
Friday evenings and/or Saturday mornings
Salary   $37.50 / Hour
