Position: Contract Adult Literacy Worker

This role involves collaborating with the Adult Learning team to assess learner needs and provide personalized education plans. With responsibilities including group facilitation and volunteer supervision, you’ll ensure a respectful and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with potential learners to identify goals

• Assess and develop individualized learning plans

• Plan and deliver literacy instruction effectively

• Train and oversee volunteer tutors collaboratively

• Create a welcoming environment for all participants

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education or relevant experience

• 1 - 3 years in adult education or community work

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Knowledge of Ontario Adult Literacy Curriculum preferred

• Flexibility for evening and weekend work
