Empower youth with intellectual disabilities through The Career Foundation’s Transitional Employment Services as the Program Lead. This full-time position emphasizes individualized coaching and structured work experiences.
In this pivotal role, you will manage the Pathways to Work program designed to facilitate successful transitions for young adults aged 18–30. Your strategic focus will include tailoring pre-employment training, coordinating paid work placement trials, and offering hands-on job coaching. You'll collaborate with inclusive employers to match them with program participants, helping to build confidence and independence while meeting program objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and conduct tailored pre-employment training sessions
• Foster relationships with employers for trial opportunities
• Provide direct coaching during job placements
• Maintain records for program evaluation and reporting
• Host family sessions to support participant needs
Requirements:
• Degree in Disability Studies or related field
• 2+ years of experience in job development or coaching
• Proven skills in employer engagement and support
• Required travel with a valid Ontario G license
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
