Overview   Science Teacher  – Permanent, Full Time. Commencing August 31, 2026

Faculty Members are dedicated educators who support the school's mission by delivering exemplary instruction, engaging in professional learning, and participating actively in school life. We expect our Faculty Members to contribute beyond their classroom teaching to enrich student experiences across academics, co-curricular activities, and community-building initiatives.
What You’ll Do   Preferably teach Senior School Science and Biology
Prepare lesson plans, outlines and assessments using inquiry and problem-based learning that engages students, challenges them, and meets the subject-specific outcomes and expectations
Differentiate lesson plans based on the needs of your students
Participate in co-curricular activities including coaching, clubs, trips and participating in the school community as a whole
Contribute to the overall well-being and growth of students in the Senior School
Integrate technology in the classroom to enhance student learning and deepen knowledge and conceptual understanding
Communicate effectively with parents about all aspects of the overall program and individual learning of each student
Integrate diversity, equity, inclusiveness and belonging into the classroom learning environment
Who You Are   Must have an Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certificate in Science and Biology
Intermediate/Senior teaching qualifications
A passion for aligning educational research with classroom practice
Strong proficiency in Google Suite; knowledge of Brightspace is an asset
A growth mindset of continuous improvement and learning
Culturally competent with a positive attitude toward cultural uniqueness, as well as a readiness to accept and respect others
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment for your students, with families and your colleagues

Annual compensation is based on our Faculty Grid, which factors in qualifications and up to 12 years of teaching experience:
Entry to 6 Years: $69,000 – $98,000
Over 6 Years: $99,000 – $134,000
Future Growth:
Rates are set to increase for the 2026–2027 academic year
